Standard Tuning
Cost: $170
Duration: 60 to 90 Min
A standard tuning or fine tuning is recommended every 6 months. Piano tuning is a noisy affair so it is recommended for customers to have headphones in or be in another room if the loudness may be disruptive.
Additionally, there needs to be minimal noise in the immediate environment. This another reason why it is recommended clients be in another room. However, it is also important that any appliances nearby the piano either be powered down or volume turned off.
Pitch Raise
Cost: $50
Duration: 30 Minutes
If you piano is very out of tune it will need a pitch raise. This makes the entire process much more efficient by reducing the fine tuning process. Otherwise, the entire job would take twice a long adding extra noise and disruption to your home environment. It’s important as a piano tuner to provide excellent service and to finish the job as quick as possible so you can enjoy your home and your piano!
Custom Fine Tuning
Cost: $60/Hr
Duration: 1.5 to 2 hours
Sometimes customers prefer their piano to be tuned to a different standard from the accepted standard. Meaning they prefer their piano to be slightly flat or slightly sharp.
In general, a flatter pitch will lead to a fuller, softer, and warmer sound. However, it can also sound dull or muted.
On the other hand a sharper pitch will lead to a brighter sound but can sound thin and tinny.
This service will require the client to be available to play the piano while the service is being performed to provide feedback on the tuning service to make sure it fulfills their needs.
